Beautiful Industry Legend and Veteran Sharon Kane Visits West Hollywood For A Chat

David Forest brought some interesting characters to Cocktails with The Stars in September but one of the most interesting and unexpected was the lovely Sharon Kane.  It's possible that Sharon is the only female guest to ever grace the stage at Micky's and though everyone was a little surprised at first, it didn't take long for Sharon to win the crowd over.

Sharon might just know the porn industry better than anybody. She's been performing in Porn films since the 70's (and she's still smokin hot) as well as Directing and her insight into the industry was fascinating.  Sharon has worked with industry legends from John Holmes to Joey Stefano Ryan Idol and Jeff Stryker (the First two gay for pay stars) to Karen Dior, nobody knows the industry like Sharon Kane.  We hope you enjoy this interview as much as we did.

I don't normally add anything to my writers posts, but in this case I am compelled for a few reasons.  First, Sharon Kane is one of the first people I met when I entered the adult industry back in 1998.  I was just moved into Chi Chi LaRue's home and we had to run over to Sharon Kane's to pick up some tape or music, I really cannot recall.  That is a night I will never forget, I met one of the most eclectic and interseting ladies you have ever met.  How interesting you ask, well she had a pig for a pet.  Sharon is probably one of the 5 best human's I have ever encountered.  She is honest, intelligent and boy is she still sexy like an animal.  This lady gave me some advice that I still remember and very much adhere to to this day.  If it wasn't for Sharon taking an active interst in me so many years ago and having a conversation I sometimes wonder if she even remembers having, I honestly wonder if I would still be alive today.  She made sure I understood that each of us has a value that is far greater than we can ever hope to understand and that everything we do is for a limited time, there comes a point when you need to take a break before you can evolve.  It is our responsibility to understand our boundries and know when to respect our own personal limits. 

Sharon Kane has been a huge player in the industry for years and quite frankly she is the biggest female porn legend next to Marilyn Chambers, and someone I will never forget as long as I walk this earth.  I will never forget the night I won my first GayVN Award was also the night I got to present an award to Sharon, honestly a true cloud nine experience, to be on stage with my two favorite people in the industry at the time in the same night Sharon Kane and John Rutherford was simply thriling.  Point is when Sharon saw me going overboard, she was the only one who stepped up and threw me the lifepreserver I so desperately needed and her kind words were never forgoten.  Sharon is on e of the few persons who understand just how connected we all are.  Sharon you are a dear friend who I will always love and Cherish.  Thank you for taking an interst in me and being my friend, I hope you know how wonderful I think you are.
