 Chris Neal Chats With Pickles
Porn Star, Director, and Producer Chris Neal agreed to take some time out his busy schedule to talk to me about his career, fans, and future. You won’t believe what this guy has on his plate!
Pickles: Thank you so much for finding time in your hectic schedule to sit down for an interview with me.
Chris Neal: No problem at all man.
Pickles: When Nick first asked me to interview you, I was immediately excited about the opportunity.
Chris Neal: Well I’m flattered!
 Pickles: So why don't you tell me how you got started in porn?
Chris: It actually kind of happened by chance. I was returning from Germany where I had been working on my graduate degree in Mannheim and found my ex boyfriend had "misappropriated" funds I had left behind to pay my part of the bills in my absence.
Pickles: It sounds like the setting of a grand adventure into porn!
Chris: A friend of mine asked me if I had ever considered escorting and I said that I had done some escorting as a younger man in Ft Lauderdale when I was studying at the Art Institute there, only then it wasn’t called "Escorting".
Pickles: Very interesting! Do you still escort?
Chris: Oh yeah. It has been my bread and butter for quite some time and truth be told, it is where my beginnings lie in adult entertainment. From an advertisement of mine online, Dink Flamingo of ActiveDuty called me and asked if I would consider doing a shoot for him.
Pickles: Do you think your fans have expectations with you?
Chris: [Escorting with fans] Lots of them do and quite a few of them have been disappointed to find I’m not the wild party beast they were hoping for. I like being wild but not THAT kind of wild with fans.
Pickles: I see Chris. So you definitely can “act”.
Chris: After the shoot with Dink, Keith Griffith who owns cruisingforsex.com saw my video I shot for Dink and invited me to do some shoots for him in New Orleans, before Hurricane Katrina. From there, Keith helped me network and I got a shoot with Titan Media. I simply networked it myself from there. I did lots of stuff with Michael Brandon and Raging Stallions, Hothouse, SX Video, Treasure Island Media, Dick Wadd and other studios.
Pickles: So far you have been meeting with different studios by introduction. Great way to network! How was working with Treasure Island?
Chris: That’s the way to do it! I loved working with those guys. They have very laid back sets. I did most of my shoots with Max Sohl directing but I did one with Damon Dogg where Paul Morris directed.
Pickles: That was definitely some of your hottest work!
Chris: Awww, thanks.
Pickles: I have to ask about your tattoos Chris. They seem to have story behind them - especially the one on your cock. That had to have hurt!
Chris: Lol, It did a little bit. I did that one myself. I used to work in a couple of tattoo shops before getting fed up with that and still had the equipment at that time.
Pickles: You after all know you own pain limits.
Chris: I started the sleeve on my left arm with the first guy I worked for. We then had a falling out and so its been in limbo for about 10 years. I call it my psychedelic mural. It’s just a mish mash of obscure multi colored shapes, eyeballs, flowers, man-eating plants, devil babies, e.t.c. The other arm is all black and white work with a more objective meaning. My most prized piece is the one on my right forearm done by the man himself Paul Booth.

Pickles: Agreed! I have a few prints of his here at home.He and Guy Aitchison are my favorites. Those guys are way in a league of their own. Much like you.
Chris: lol Well thank you man.
Pickles: You're a director, model, and producer. Is that correct?
Chris: You got it. - As well as a soon to be dog behaviorist and trainer.
Pickles: It also sounds like you have a lot to have on your plate.
Chris: I am in school for that right now along with finishing up a psych degree at UNC-G (University of North Carolina at Greensboro).
Pickles: How do you pit your career now with your education in the next 5 years?
Chris: I do indeed and I’m glad to hear that my image seems to be so engaging and memorable. I am planning on integrating the two.
Pickles: That's how you do it!
Chris: Exactly! Why not have a dog trainer slash behaviorist to the Porn Stars and televise it!
Pickles: That's reality! Fantastic idea!
Chris: That is what we are working on currently and are hoping to have a YouTube channel for it eventually.
Pickles: I hear you like to volunteer at various charities. Tell me more about your work with them.
Chris: We (Bad Seed Media), have a benefit coming up January 23rd at Helios Men’s Resort in Palm Springs for the Orphan Pet Oasis which we have done a benefit for before and raised quite a bit of money for them.
Pickles: You are definitely a busy guy!
Chris: We are bringing up-and-comer Jake Steel (GuyNextDoor, Corbin Fisher) out to film with us and help with the show. He is quite a hottie.
Pickles: I know! I do reviews for NickYoungXXX.com. I have to be!

Pickles: Tell me about your most recent movie. Definitely add what's in store for us in 2010!
Chris: Leather Fuckfest is the title. It is the first release from my new production company www.badseedmedia.com. It’s actually the one I’m most proud of to date. I really like the first scene where I get the shit fucked out of me by Damian Stone.
Pickles: I love the sound of that title. Do you film strictly bareback or do you throw condoms in for good measure?
Chris: It depends on the model. Jake Steel for example, is not ready for bareback so we will be using condoms with him. I don’t like making a big deal about using condoms any more than I like making a big deal out of NOT using them.
Pickles: That’s good. It is good to have that kind of understanding and relationship with your models. That makes sense.
Chris: We are not going to live and die by bare backing with this new company. There are too many other hot things to focus on sexually without having to tie yourself down.
Pickles: I completely agree with you. You seem to have a great head on your shoulders as well as the one swinging between your legs.
Chris: lol Well they are close to the same size and if you talk to some people, both have about the same intelligence quotient.
Pickles: Any new year’s resolutions before we say goodnight?
Chris: Yes. I’m cleaning up my diet, lifestyle and recommitting myself to my family, friends, and all the fans that have made this trip so worth it. YOU GUYS ROCK! I hope to see you at Helios on Jan 23!
