News Brief:  Jessie Colter Assaulted by “Clients” in Homophobic Attack

Jessie Colter, a sex worker and adult film performer, has been assaulted by two clients in what he believes was a homophobically motivated attack.  Jessie took to Twitter to give warning to other sex workers in the area.

Jessie thankfully walked away from the talk without having sustained any injuries, but warned that “if it can happen to [him], it can happen to anyone.”

He wrote, “So this post is really hard for me to make, but I feel I must be brave.  No tonly for myself but for others like me.  This morning I was assaulted by a client.”

After following a client to the hotel room, Jessie did not initially realize that there was a second man in the bathroom.  When he turned to look at the second man, the first punched him; therefore, initiating the attack.

“…the first guy hit me in the side of the head [and] I fell to the floor.  He then pinned me to the floor with his knee and shoved my face to the floor.  The guy in the bathroom came at me to kick me in the face.  I managed to fight them both off and escape pretty much unscathed.  I’m still shook up.”

Jessie added that he had reported the incident, but warned other sex workers in the area of a white supremacist rally that was happening that weekend.
